Degassing chambers

Externally, degassing chambers do not differ much from pre-conditioning chambers.
However, they perform a completely different function and represent the last step that completes a standard sterilisation cycle.

In fact, they receive product pallets emerging from the autoclave sterilisation process. Such material tends to retain some measure of ethylene oxide residue in the packaging; hence, it must be “quarantined” in a degassing chamber.

An innovative system feeds temperature-controlled, treated air into it, while gas-saturated air is extracted and fed to an abatement system that eliminates residual EO particles so that the goods can be subsequently stored.

As with the pre-conditioning chambers, we also offer complete customisation of our degassing chambers. We therefore meet all space and work requirements, also equipping them with an internal pallet handling system to facilitate the operator in loading/unloading and a fully automated door opening and closing mechanism.

Degassing chambers can be individually managed and adapted to third-party installations.

This equipment category complies with Low Voltage Directive 2014/35/EC, 2014/30/EC (EMC) and 2006/42/EC (Machinery Directive). They do not need to be approved for compliance with the 2014/68/EU PED Directive because they are non-pressurised vessels.
